I always find it a bit sad that so few cosplayers try to do any of the weapons or “magic attack” props for the scouts. (Aside from Pluto’s time staff.) You almost never see Mercury’s Harp, Mars’s flame bow, Venus’s chain or sword, or Jupiter’s lightning rod or belt.

So I dont normally reblog Sailor Moon. 

Why? Because Sailor Moon cosplays are not very aesthetically pleasing. Their crayon-box colored uniforms don’t transfer very well to real life. They look campy at best and gaudy at worst. 

That being said. These ladies went the extra mile. By making the props, they added a level of skill and detail to their costumes that counteracts the slightly silly design of the outfits. Being in a group also helps a lot. They went through camp and came out awesome. Give these ladies a round of applause. 

(also i have nothing against Sailor Moon or Sailor Moon cosplayers. I cosplayed chibi moon once upon a time… i still need to dig up that photo. It’s just the basic design of the outfits just make then hard to pull off. God knows I was a terrible chibimoon [i was also six, so…])
